To the innocents who lost their lives today on my birthday

I did not know any of you personally, the innocent victims in the towers, at the Pentagon and on the planes but I grieve for all of you and have done so since September 11, 2001.

I do not grieve for the bastards who perverted an otherwise peaceful religion's beliefs into an act of outright horror and carnage on a country and a people I like. May all of the hijackers burn to a crisp in an everlasting hell where there is no water to douse the flames.  I would kill you myself if you bastards weren't dead already as you not only ruined countless lives in the USA but mine as well. :hatred:

What was always the best of days for me prior to 9/11/2001 has now become a nightmare and I no longer celebrate my birthday.

God bless America on this awful day.

Happy Birthday Brother Trev!  Here's hoping we don't have another 9/11 (presumably if we do it's not happening today).  In any case things aren't going great right now..  But what can ya do, other than have a slice of cake.

Thanks, Brother.

I forgot to add this song: stay strong, America.

One of my former students was literally born at the moment the second tower collapsed.
Even in the midst of death and tragedy, life continues and beauty happens.
That is what the monsters of 9/11 tried to destroy, and they failed.

That is wonderful.

I hope one day to go to New York to pay my respects at the memorial pools and at the museum: I will cry, I know but I will cry unashamedly.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

That's OK but me? I spent most of yesterday in bed.  :bluesad:

They and their ilk shall always fail.  Life will out.
