If I'm not mistaken, every so often the people get to vote for either independence, statehood, or keeping things as they are, and that's what they've voted for.

If I'm not mistaken, every so often the people get to vote for either independence, statehood, or keeping things as they are, and that's what they've voted for.

Actually, the last time the held the referendum in 2020 they narrowly voted for statehood. But Congress decides if a new state gets admitted. Republicans believe PR will vote Democratic so they'll never allow it (unless PR suddenly shifts red, then the Democrats would never allow it.)

Be hilarious if Texans fell on their swords to keep the Senate red and exercised that option to divide into multiple states. I think Cromwell will be ice skating before that ever comes about though.

I was thinking,( believe it or not,) of when I lived in the Bronx, and my Gramma Morris and Aunt Carol (who was a spinster) were the only white people I knew. I never got in a fight. Everybody liked me. I bought weed from Ray in front of a boarded up laundrymat. The place looked like a warzone.
