For the most part, I ended up rather liking this movie.  Its got some cool visuals, is mostly well acted and was fun.

I do think they could have cut some side stories and characters. The movie did feel a bit longer than it needed to be.  Plus the main threat ( seen in some of the commercials and trailers) was just a generic smoke monster looking thing.

I'd say its worth a watch though.
