With Winnie the Pooh in public domain, you just knew somebody had to make a horror movie out of it.

This idea feels more like something you'd see in a comedy skit about gritty reboots than an actual movie anyone thought would be a good idea.

Knew Pooh fell into the public domain, but this isn't the mid-90's. No one's releasing "close enough" versions of movies Disney already made anymore; the market for home video's too small now. Not sure what else you could do with the character.

A horror film is an original idea I guess, but it just looks wrong. I'm sure that's the point; they want the free publicity something gets when it's messed up. No thank you.

The director has zero credits, not even short movies listed.  It's almost certainly going to be a dumpster fire, and probably not a fun one.

Is it bad that I kinda want to see this?

I almost want to see it just as a badge of Stupidity.

You do remember where you are, right?  If not Scroll back up to the top of the page and look at the big logo dripping in green slime.   :twirl:

I plan on giving it a watch at some point.

Quote"Because of all the press and stuff, we're just going to start expediting the edit and getting it through post production as fast as we can," said Waterfield. "But also, making sure it's still good. It's gonna be a high priority."

:bouncegiggle: I don't think "good" was ever a real option...

Quote"Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he's not [given] them food, it's made Pooh and Piglet's life quite difficult."

"Because they've had to fend for themselves so much, they've essentially become feral," Waterfield continued. "So they've gone back to their animal roots. They're no longer tame: they're like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey."
This sounds even dumber and more poorly thought out that I expected.

I don't remember Christopher Robin ever bringing them food.  I seem to recall they grew their own crops and collected their own honey.

Almost certainly a pass for me, though.

Yeah...  Relevant quote.

QuoteThe film was shot in 10 days in England

Shot in 10 days from a first time director?  Yeah, again, it's going to be a disaster.
