Anyway- my son Eddie just had a daughter-Olephia Merchant. I am very proud. My first grand girl. I cried when I found out. There's no feeling like it.

I do not and cannot have children. There was only a brief period in my life where I ever wanted them.

No, unfortunately not as I like kids and young people and they like me back. Not having kids and never being married are two of the many faults I have.

^ Man, that's not a fault. It's alright. I never planned to have kids. It just happened. I wasn't asking because I think folks without kids are missing out. I just am trying to connect with folks who do- cuz it can be hard.

There is nothing in life---nothing---that begins to compare to the goodness my children have brought to me. I thought I knew what it was to love, but when I found out I was pregnant in 2008 I realized the love I'd felt in the past, however strong, had been like standing in the first rays of sunrise compared to high noon. And with each subsequent child that love didn't divide, it grew. My children mean more to me than my very life, and I feel so lucky to have them.

Just the one, although had we met 10 years earlier I suspect me and Kristi would have had a small tribe of children. It has its trials and tribulations, but overall I'd say it is the best thing I've ever done.

I have two sons, ages 15 and 20. They're both good kids. I guess I didn't F up raising them too badly.
