I think I must have been around 7 (1974) when my folks and I went to see a family friend. Dad said "You'll like his car, I'm sure" and I did.

Dad asked his friend "Can Trevor get in your car?"
Friend: "Sure."
Me: "Wow."
Dad: "You like it?"
Me: "Yes."
Dad: "Can you drive it?"
Me: "Nooooooooo."
Me (looking around a bit confused)
Dad: "What is it?"
Me: "Where's the steering wheel?"
Dad: "That side" (points to the left)
Me: "Why is it that side?"
Dad: "The USA people drive on the right and the steering wheel's on the left: we drive on the left and the wheel's on the right."
Me: "If I drive on the right here, what will happen?"
Dad: "You'll add excitement to your life really quickly."
Miss you Dad, you would have been 89 this year.
