Still holding out high hopes for one of my favorite series, but beginning to fear this was one encore too many.

I also hate hate hate hate hate how Hulu releases original content one episode at a time. And I say that as someone with Attention Surplus Disorder.

Honestly, I hope they don't touch it again. Many of the latter episodes were terrible, some plots were so bland and generic (Bender becomes a country musician is the first that comes to mind for some reason) that you could change the setting to anything else and it wouldn't affect it in any way. The last episode was great, and left the show with the most FUTURAMA tone possible.

You could always watch RICK AND MORTY, I heard it's similar.  :tongueout:

Almost everyone I know who is remotely into such things tells me how brilliant Rick and Morty is, but the few times I've tried to settle into it, I have been pushed away. The same with Adventure Time. And for that matter Bob's Burgers. I think as a reader, video gamer, viewer I tend to go deep rather than wide and so I stick to my favorites. I'm probably costing myself introductions to many good things that way.

Personally, judging by how obnoxious its fanbase is, I wouldn't touch RICK AND MORTY with a stick. But hey, I guess if it's so beloved, it should be mentioned at least.  :teddyr:

"Rick and Morty" is a strange one. The plotting is excellent, extremely imaginative. The comedy is too black for me, though, and every character is an a***ole with no redeeming qualities.

I'd agree with that.  I also really hate the main characters voices.

I've seen it all, just one left.  It's been a mixed bag.  A few good episodes I thought, a couple ok, a few bad.  None are all timers or anything.  Also I have to say this has got to be the last revival...  Billy West is clearly struggling to do Fry's voice and it hurts a bit.  Another 10 years I don't think he'll physically be able to do it.

For some reason I stopped caring about this show after the Comedy Central "films". I think it's run the same course as The Simpsons, from essential to irrelevant.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Well, I finished it, it was uneven, sometimes almost on a level with the classic series, sometimes downright bad, but I find I still hope for another season.
