I just realized how much I really like this movie. It's like a time capsule now, a last captured breath of the early '90s, just before grunge broke loose from Seattle and the mid-'90s took over. This is the early '90s, the harder, uncertain part of a decade yet to fully define itself, before the Clinton years, before alternative became mainstream, and before the dot com boom. Not a cell phone in sight, just people really talking, being in the moment, trying to figure it all out in a more localized, isolated world. But anyway, it's like a time capsule, and I just realized how much I really like this movie.

I was very into grunge and remember the SINGLES soundtrack getting reviewed in various mags, but have never checked out the movie. something about it looked like it wouldn't appeal to me, not sure why... will be sure to give it a whirl if it turns up in my local charity shop again. they've had it before

HALF-COCKED (1994) is a pretty good grunge (kind of) related movie I have seen...

Singles was great. I still watch it occasionally. I was a grunge kid, sums  up a time in my life
"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.
It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide.

great soundtrack, the biggest hit probably being "Would" by Alice in Chains

Rev. Powell

I was in my 20s in the 90s and honestly this is the first time I've ever heard of this movie. I have heard of Alice in Chains, though.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...
