50. PIGS (1973)

I grew up on an old converted farm... we still had a steady stream of animals though, as pets... dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens / roosters, and even a donkey at one stage.

when they inevitably died (of old age, or in some of the cats' cases sadly getting run over in the lane outside) my dad would bury them all in the same spot, so we literally had an animal graveyard at the end of one field... horror movie fodder right there :)

My dad's parents had a farm in the middle of nowhere. They had a couple fields, one horse for plowing and transportation, chicken, and maybe a dog (I think to remember my dad mention a dog once). He would sometimes ride the horse to school, and apparently the horse always knew its way home. I never asked what became of the horse but I assume it died of old age.

well as they say "a horse never forgets". or is it elephant? I've forgotten  ...  we never had horses but there was a row of stables next to the main farmhouse. my dad converted them into offices for his accounting business

also local farmers used to hire out a couple of our fields to put their sheep + cows on... never felt remotely threatened by sheep or cows, docile as you like...but bulls are terrifying. had a very sketchy standoff with a bull once. (it cornered me in a field, I wasn't intentionally looking for trouble, honest)
