Here is your answer.

QuoteIn news we absolutely did not see coming, Deadline reports today that Nicolas Cage (Arcadian) and FKA Twigs (The Crow) will be leading the cast of The Carpenter's Son, which is said to be "exploring the rarely told story of the childhood of Jesus with a horror take."

Noah Jupe and Souheila Yacoub will also be starring in the upcoming film.

Deadline notes in their report this afternoon that the film from director Lofty Nathan (Harka) has "taken inspiration from the apocryphal Infancy Gospel of Thomas for the screenplay. Dating back to the 2nd Century AD, the text recounts the childhood of Jesus."

Here's the official synopsis:

"The Carpenter's Son tells the dark story of a family hiding out in Roman Egypt. The son, known only as 'the Boy', is driven to doubt by another mysterious child and rebels against his guardian, the Carpenter, revealing inherent powers and a fate beyond his comprehension. As he exercises his own power, the Boy and his family become the target of horrors, natural and divine."

Nicolas Cage is playing the Carpenter, FKA Twigs the Mother, and Noah Jupe the Boy.

The project comes from producers Cinenovo and Spacemaker.

Had to have a think about this one before posting it on wither it should go in movie news or weird news.

This kind of sucks, because I had the idea to adapt the Infancy Gospels.

Launch a lawsuit. Who knows, they might settle out of court and pay you.

I don't find it weird.
Seems to me the whole Bible is mostly one big f**ked up horror story. "Praise me or burn in hell forever". f**k that crazy s**t.

Reality is a horror story; Hell an extension of that, & Heaven an escape.

I think to be honest, I'd rather go to Hell than Heaven. Not that I think either are real, but the more I studied religion when I was younger, the more I came to the conclusion that god was a self-righteous prick with an ego problem. Either reality or Hell sound better to me than putting up with that for eternity.
