Also, GLEN OR GLENDA obviously doesn't belong on the list because it's a legitimately Great film.   Grade-A Outsider Art, yo!

Pull the string!

Mistakes made! Their story must be told!
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

I believe in the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

Glen <-> Henry

Bela <-> The Man In The Planet

Pullin' The String <-> Yankin' The Lever

Glenda <-> The Lady In The Radiator

Not 1-1s, just resonant parallels.

Interesting choices. I've never seen Skinned Deep (2004) on any list before. It's not top 10 material but a long-time fave of mine.

1. Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966)
2. The Room (2003)
3. Troll 2 (1990)
4. Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957)
7. Freddy Got Fingered (2001)
11. The Wicker Man (2006)
12. Robot Monster (1953)
17. Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987)
25. For Y'ur Height Only (1981)
26. The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!? (1964)
27. The Fanatic (2019)
31. The Pumaman (1980)
40. Ninja Terminator (1985)

These are the ones I seen of that list.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

chainsaw midget

I'd have to add Bloodsucking Freaks onto that list somewhere.

TEENAGE ZOMBIES (1959) is BAD. Looks like it was shot with pocket change. I was a zombie when that film rolled.

TEENAGE ZOMBIES is a great addition to a conversation I was admittedly reluctant to participate in.      It is baaad but I watched it twice, so, there must be something compelling about it...

Just before New Years I reviewed PROJECT: NIGHTMARE (1987). I think that one definitely belongs in a "best bad" discussion. It's much more confidently constructed than TEENAGE ZOMBIES (for instance) and the filmmakers definitely had ambitions, but it's largely impenetrable and insufferable. Yet (again), I watched it twice! I think people who like MANOS would also find something of interest in PROJECT: NIGHTMARE...

zombie no.one

I'm currently watching THE SWARM (1978) for the first time (late pass)...it tends to make these kind of lists but not this one apparently.

within the first 5 minutes it becomes obvious why it's going to last 2 1/2 hours.

wonder if Nic Cage watched it before doing his un-bee-lievable WICKER MAN scene.
