Also all the creatures are going to be CGI, that takes away the charm too. The original still holds up just fine.

It wouldn't be the first time someone far older has played a teenager. I've not checked to see if this one is real or not, but sincerely hope it is fake. I remember seeing Labyrinth in the cinema when it was first released and totally loving it. I may have had a crush on Jennifer Connelly since then.

Apparently there's been talks to make a sequel and/or remake for a while,  but apparently this announcement is fake.

If it's fake (and I hope it is), the Jonathan Davis bit must be the tell. Hailee Steinfeld is much too old but that wouldn't stop Hollywood. Of course it would be Hiddleston, too.

Alex: Last month my co-teacher and I told a 14 year old student that she looked like Jennifer Connelly. (We meant in the 80s, obv.) She immediately googled "Jennifer Connelly" and was horrified. "You think I look like an old woman???" Then we were horrified.  :bluesad: Jennifer Connelly still looks great! .......Kids today.......
