I don't usually post episodes of my podcast (if you're interested you'll follow it on your own), but this one might interest you guys. It's by the low-budget director of "Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter," which Andrew reviewed in the old days: https://www.badmovies.org/movies/jesusvamp/

Lee has a new movie out, a drag queen kung fu movie, and that's what we mostly talk about. But he also discusses low-budget filmmaking in general and drops anecdotes about Lee Kaufman and Tommy Wiseau.

Also tune in next week for a discussion of ZARDOZ with the author of the definitive book about the movie!
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I will definitely listen/watch! I enjoyed Demarbre's work from the early 00s a lot!

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter suffers horribly from the fact that only part way into the movie they give Jesus a makeover and he doesn't look like Jesus anymore.  Kinda defeats the point.

It isn't a perfect movie and (based only on two features and a couple shorts) I think Demarbre's humor works better in small doses. Still I admire what he's accomplished w/ his resources. I only got through a few minutes of the interview so far but I love his optimism re: single screens are the future of movie theaters!
