My fave is Robin Williams in the noir thriller DEAD AGAIN (1991).

He's not credited at the beginning of the movie so his appearance is a bit of a shock.

His first line is " *Bleep* you, I'm on a break." 😳

Curly Howard in the 3 Stooges short HOLD THAT LION (1947) as a snoring train passenger. Curly had retired due to poor health, and was replaced by Shemp. He died in 1952. It's the only film with all 3 Howard Brothers in it- Moe, Curly, and Shemp.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

In one of Rodney Daingerfield's movies - I think it was BACK TO SCHOOL - he had to write a paper on Kurt Vonnegut's writings.  The teacher gave him a bad grade on it and told him he didn't understand Vonnegut's work at all.
In the next scene, Daingerfield knocks on a door and the real Kurt Vonnegut answers!
And then Daingerfield demands the money back that he paid Vonnegut to write the paper!
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

Buster Keaton in SUNSET BOULEVARD playing cards with Gloria Swanson and some other old-timers.
I'm a big fan of both, so seeing them on screen together is a treat.

Cecil B De Mille was also in that I believe 😊

I guess I'm weirdly impressed when stars agree to "cameo" and there is little effort to highlight their appearance or even they're barely visible onscreen, which seems adjacent to some of the cameos mentioned already. Anonymous/invisible cameos happen fairly often in David Lynch films for some reason. Two of the guys from "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" appeared in the final season of GAME OF THRONES but only in one shot each and were unidentifiable as they were killed... then appeared w/ their female co-star in a longer scene in Mel Brooks' "History Of The World, Part 2", but all in heavy make-up that obscured their identities....... not a huge "Always Sunny" fan, but I admire their willingness to cameo anonymously!

The most ostentatious and effective example I can think of is (what was for me the highlight of this film) Brad Pitt's cameo in DEADPOOL 2, which possibly lasts no longer than 12 or so (non-consecutive) frames (not seconds) of footage. That was a hoot, but DEADPOOL X WOLVERINE maybe takes this joke too far... besides the quite obvious star cameos, there are a few near the end that are, I think, impossible to recognize........ as they are wearing masks and/or have no clear/discernible dialogue....... and one is a severed head in a mask that iirc has no dialogue?! Perhaps it's one reason to revisit DXW but... those flew by me until I read about them online.......
