This came as a big surprise to me as I genuinely thought he was dead.

QuoteUS actor Michael Madsen has been arrested on a domestic battery charge.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed to the PA news agency that shortly after midnight on Saturday, they received a call from a woman alleging "her husband pushed her and locked her out of the house".

Veteran actor Madsen, who starred in Quentin Tarantino films including Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, was arrested in Malibu, California on the misdemeanour charge.

He posted a 20,000 dollar (£15,300) bond before being released from custody.

A representative for the 66-year-old actor has been contacted for comment.

During his career, Madsen also starred in the Free Willy film franchise as Glen Greenwood, the adoptive father of protagonist Jesse Greenwood – played by Jason James Richter in the first three films from 1993 until 1997.

Madsen has also appeared in Thelma & Louise and Donnie Brasco, as well as Die Another Day in the James Bond franchise.

That's highly uncool. It's never pleasant to see someone in the spotlight emerge in an unsavoury manner. Hopefully this will be resolved in a good way.

yeah well there's 2 sides to every story... "pushed her and locked her out of the house"... not to excuse any form of abuse, but I've heard of worse domestic disputes? sounds like alcohol might be involved (random speculation I know)

why did you think he was dead?

Edit, apparently one of their sons commit suicide seemingly out of the blue in 2022. Guess they've been going through some rough times. Again without excusing abuse of any description, I'm not sure media needs to swarm all over things of this nature in the way that they do.
Quotethe movie was cringe, corny, cheesy and "what the biscuits" is with this atrocious acting and childish corny thing of a movie???
