$16 USD / 12 pounds for a movie I don't like

Von Ryan's Express is listed on www.bobshop.co.za for ZAR280 which is $16 USD or 12 pounds.

Truth is while I loved the book the film is a pile of poo, even with a great cast like Frank Sinatra and Trevor Howard.

Should I buy it?

I saw it on VHS back in 1987 when I wuz a student and I wondered if it had gotten better with time. I doubt it 😳😉

See if you can stream it for it for free and if its any better than you remember then you can buy it.

Archive.org has it so I will check it out thanks. I remember it as being a meh book to film adaptation, sort of like THE EAGLE HAS LANDED. 😳

I watched it last night: apart from the humor in it, it hasn't aged well.
