1.) If that's a ranked list, it's completely ferkakte.

2.) Some of those selections are entirely ridiculous. But it's Good Housekeeping, what do they know about horror movies anyway?

On the real, though, if we're strictly talking festive Halloween viewing and particularly if you want to go "family friendly" for some reason... I can't argue w/ #21 and actually I'd probably rank BEETLEJUICE quite a bit higher... like maybe even top 3 or 5. Fantastic film to have running in the background while you hand out candy to kiddies.

Also worth mentioning: not a single non-English language film on this list. Seriously, HAUSU might be the most Halloween movie ever made.

It's not a horrible list.  I don't agree with all of it, but I've definitely seen worse.  Still, having Abbott and Costello meet the Mummy over meet Frankenstein is an odd choice.

having INSIDIOUS over HALLOWEEN in a best 'anything' list is blasphemy, but in a best *halloween movies* list? this is nothing less than an attempt to destroy society and plunge the world into chaos... typical of those goodhousekeeping guys.
