Badly-dubbed Korean cartoon feature, which looks like an 80's anime animated in the 60's. (Does that make sense?) Green-skinned bad guys invade... a planet. And kids from a baseball team must find the Pheonix King to stop him. (The Pheonix King is a robot. Or he creates a robot. Or something. Anyways, the Robot is actually one of the Transformers, probably used without permission.)

I saw that on our old B/W TV in the 70s and I thought, nice movie. Years later I saw it on YouTube and I saw what I missed: green alien, blood, yikes 😳😄

not to get overly philosophical here, but how can the being that created every single thing there is, be considered 'alien' to any of it?.... bad movie logic, tsk

^Goes back to Lovecraft, at the least. Basically, the "gods" aren't gods; they're powerful beings people worship, but don't understand. The beings come from outer space, so they're aliens.

Was fairly popular in sci-fi & fantasy till the 50's. You still see it on occasion, in stuff like Stargate.

I liked the look of the film and some of its ideas.  Unfortunately most of the characters let it down for me.
