I couldn't find a similar thread.  So VHS covers that were way better than the movie or a drastic misrepresentation.

I shall begin with Bronx Warriors.  Mark Gregory was not that ripped  :teddyr:

chainsaw midget

The actual movie does not feature a human hand with a cat's head attached to it.  Shame, because I would totally watch a movie where the monster was a human hand with a cat's head attached to it that went around killing people.

Gilligan's island, Goonies and Godzilla information booth here!

A couple of great covers there.  Am not familiar with the films.

The Italian post-apocalyptic movies had some great VHS covers.

I'm pretty sure that her boobs weren't that big or even exposed in the movie. :bluesad:

#5
I dont remember anything at all on that cover that was in the movie lol...

Night of the Comet (1984)

Not really misleading - Maybe. But no one was in outer space there was no door that implied it was shifting to another space or Dimension - and nobody's eyes lit up lol actually I feel they could have did better they could have added some really good zombie element there

night of the comet blu ray cover fixes all that with a big A+ perfect movie match! ... even has the arcade highscore on it lol

I do like the movie though...

I guess they went for a 'Close Encounters' vibe with this one.  I also remember liking the movie.

Brilliant cover.  The movie has a toytown Blade Runner-esque Rome in it.

Man, everything in that cover, especially the shots in the back, simply ooze 80s style.

Medusa released a lot of Italian movies.

Ator the Invincible.

Am trying to remember why it would've been rated 18.

zombie no.one

well I was going to nominate Fulci's A CAT IN THE BRAIN, which literally shows a cat's eyes peering out from a skull, but on searching I've found this rather striking vhs version of it

haha, so would I... from memory the cat does not really have much to do with anything in this, despite popping up all over the place

perhaps there was just a cat loose on set and they couldn't be bothered to re-do scenes it interrupted...

A good cover and the film title is nice and obscure

LordGraal

A couple of billion times better than the movie.
