About a Family Who 'Saves America With Guns, the Bible, Petty Crime and Alcoholism'.

QuoteRoseanne Barr tells Variety that she wrote a new comedy series with "Roseanne" and "Arli$$" alum Allan Stephan and is about to take it to market.

The new series, which will star Barr and be four to six episodes in line with the U.K. comedy format, is "a cross between 'The Roseanne Show' and 'The Sopranos,'" she says, and centers on a small-town farmer in Alabama who is "saving the United States from drug gangs and China." The protagonist dabbles in growing and selling drugs like cannabis and magic mushrooms.

"It's silly and out there," she says. "[It will contain] very offensive ideas and a lot of swearing. I live with my daughter and her husband and their six children on a farm. And they have goats running through their house and stuff. It's based on my life as a farmer in Hawaii. They save America with guns, the Bible, petty crime and alcoholism. It's kind of like the Coen brothers thing."

Sounds offensive enough.
Is it October yet?

I would guess she'd do OK due to people who will ignore her lack of talent and tune in just to support her politics. On the other hand, the fact that she's only doing 6 episodes suggests no one is interested in funding the project, so maybe it will die quickly.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

yeah 6 episodes per 'season' is very standard for comedy shows here... but I can't think of any that had 4, or 5? wonder where they got that from

I'll be sure to skip on that one.
For her to compare herself to the Coen Brothers is laughable.
