Copilot came up with this bad movie forum game. Not saying we should play, just wondering what you think.

🎬 **THE DAILY HALL OF SHAME: So-Bad-It's-Good Movie Induction Game**
Help us build the ultimate Top 50 list of the greatest *terrible* movies ever made!

---

## ⭐ **HOW TO PLAY (Daily Format)**

### **1. Nominate Movies Anytime**
- Anyone may nominate movies in the Nomination Pool thread.
- Movies must be "so bad they're good."
- No ultra-obscure films: must have at least *some* public presence (e.g., IMDb, Letterboxd).
- Duplicates are allowed; they simply show popularity.

The full nomination pool will always be visible and numbered.

---

## ⭐ **2. Each Day: We Select 5 Nominees**
To keep things fair and transparent, **players generate the randomness**.

**How it works:**
1. The host posts the full numbered nomination list.
2. The **first 5 players who reply** each post **one random number** between **1 and the pool size**.
3. Those 5 numbers correspond to the 5 movies of the day.
4. If someone repeats a number already chosen, the *next* player posts a replacement.

This ensures the host has zero influence over which movies appear.

---

## ⭐ **3. Daily Vote**
Once the 5 nominees are set, everyone votes for **ONE** movie:

> "My vote: ___"

Voting stays open until the next day's round begins.

---

## ⭐ **4. Daily Induction**
- The movie with the most votes is **inducted** into the Hall of Shame.
- It becomes part of the official Top 50 list.
- Its ranking is determined by **order of induction** (earlier = more iconic).
- The winning movie is removed from the nomination pool.
- The other 4 return to the pool and may appear again later.

---

## ⭐ **5. Goal**
We continue daily inductions until we reach **50 movies** in the Hall of Shame.

At the end, we'll have:
- A community-built
- Transparent
- Chaotic-but-fair
- Definitive Top 50 "So Bad They're Good" Movie List

---

## ⭐ **Example Daily Round**

**Step 1:** Host posts the nomination list (e.g., 1–87).
**Step 2:** First 5 players post numbers: 7, 14, 22, 31, 44.
**Step 3:** Those movies become the nominees.
**Step 4:** Everyone votes for their favorite disaster.
**Step 5:** Winner is inducted as Entry #12 in the Hall of Shame.

---

## ⭐ **Notes**
- Lighthearted roasting is encouraged.
- Serious film criticism is optional but appreciated.
- Please keep the tone fun — this is a celebration of cinematic disasters.

---

🎉 **Let the daily chaos begin!**

I think what we've seen is there isn't a large enough user base here anymore to keep something like this going. People will be involved at the beginning but lose interest quickly and it will end up being only a couple of people participating. However, if you want to try, I'd go along.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Well, I guess we could give it a try. I'll throw in my first batch for the nomination pool. We'll wait a few days and see if anyone else is joining.

1. The Room (2003)
2. Troll 2 (1990)
3. Showgirls (1995)

Actually I don't understand AIs rules.  :bouncegiggle: But if I can give some nominees:

6. Robot Monster (1953)
7. Zardoz (1974)
8. Glen or Glenda? (1953)
9. Gymkata (1985)
10. Hard Ticket to Hawaii (1987)

Really?  :bluesad:

If we should get enough titles I'll post them numbered in the nomination pool under the rules in the first post. That would be the first step.

Second step: the first five people posting can randomly or intentionally pick one number / title each. I guess the cut-off line is five so you gotta be quick if you want to pick a random number (movie).

Step three: The five random picks will be posted underneath the nomination pool. Everyone can pick their favorite (only one). The one with the most votes (or picks) is included into the Hall of Shame. Hall of Shame will be posted undeneath the 5 picks. The other four that didn't make it fall back into the nomination pool. The winner is deleted from the nomination pool. Hope this makes sense?

How do you pick a random number? Am I supposed to use a random number generator on my own? Are you the host and does that mean you can't participate? (And, not a rules question directly, but how are we going to get 5 people to participate?)

Not sure how AI meant with picking a random number. I think picking a number (movie) of your choice would be better. I guess I would be the host and I would participate. And yeah, I doubt we even get one more person to play along.

I've been looking at the AI's rules for this for a few days now....and they make very little sense to me
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

It's weird because they do make sense for me  :bluesad:

I do believe when AI said each pick a random number, it actually meant random. Google has a random number generator, super easy to use.

Let's give this a try and see what happens. I'm adding all nominated movies to the nomination pool under the rules.

Today's Random Pick: I set the Google Random Number Generator to 1–15 and rolled a 11.

Movie: #11 Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010)

How Voting Works:

1. The Shortlist: Once we have 3 random picks, they move to the "Voting Zone" below the Nomination Pool.

2. The Vote: Everyone votes for their favorite of the three.

3. The Winner: The movie with the most votes enters the Hall of Shame.

4. The Runners-Up: The two movies that lose the vote are returned to the Nomination Pool for a future chance.

5. If its a draw, all three movies go back in the Nomination Pool.
