Carpet?  Quilt?  Gumby?  an asparagus?
It's new years and I feel like collecting some opinions on one of hollywoods worst.  Post.  Reply.  Rant about the narrator.  Please!  I'm really bored.

-----ooo-'U'-ooo-----Kilroy was here.

It resembles a hairball that I once saw one of my friend's cats puke onto the face of another of her cats.  It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
And the reason for the narrator is one of my fave bits of trivia, too.  Someone accidentally rolled the sound machine into the lake they were filming by and it ruined half the soundtrack.  With no money or time to re-film all the ruined takes, they just narrated the bits of movie that were originally there.

In our family we refer to it as the Carpet Monster.

It happened to be on a cable channel one day while my wife was recovering from gall bladder surgery.  She tried not to laugh because of the sutures.  It's been one of our favorite "comedy" movies ever since.  We loved the "victims" who had to crawl into the monster's maw and the fact that no one could outrun it.

Looks like what happens when a tornado rams a carpet store into a vaccume cleaner supply place. Man, what a great MST!

"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

A couple of vegetables - grown over with mutant mold.

The movie did have one interesting idea and that was why the creature was eating people.  Good idea, atrocious movie.

some kind of strange vegetation, or a giant zombie pekignese.....to quote MST..."Well, it's definately creeping alright.  I dunno about the terror."

"Anybody want a peanut?"
