Alfred Molina will be playing the bad doctor, hopefully with the goofy googles and bowl-chop.

Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus !?!?
Not a great casting choice, and not a very recognizible name, for either Sam Neill or Nicolas Cage would have been a much better choice as Doc Ock.
Just hope that the upcoming Spidey sequel will be just as spectacular, though(and it's great that Venom will be Part 3's  villain).

The Burgomaster

Hmmm . . . Alfred Molina. Not quite as interesting as the rumors I heard a while back that Kevin Spacey was being considered to play Doc Ock.

Lance Henriksen!  Lance Henriksen!  Lance Henriksen!

Nic Cage??? Are you kidding me? Kevin Spacey and Sam Neil yes. I was always kind of hoping that Hugh Grant would get the part....

Anyways, Doc Ock is my favorite Spidey villian. The actor is inconsequential as long as his arms are well done. I think they made a great choice in casting Doc Ock. As for Venom, that disappoints me, I was hoping for a Daredevil/SpiderMan crossover movie against the Kingpin, their common enemy.

It'd be cool to see Lance as a ba dguy, although I'm not enough of a SpiderMan fan to know the characters well to know if he'd be a good choice.  Just be cool to see him, period

In the next Spider-Man3 I hope they picked a better actor if they picked the next villian  ( I hoped)  MacDonald " Mac " Gargan aka Scorpion.

Okay . . . here are my votes for casting:

DOC OCK . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Kevin Spacey
THE VULTURE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Patrick Stewart
KRAVEN THE HUNTER . . . . . . . . . . .Vin Diesel
THE PUNISHER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .George Clooney
MORBIUS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Michael Jackson

Anone else rooting for a sequel with Mysterio? Gotta love those smoke effects and that nifty fishbowl!

Reed Rothchild

Lets just see what he's like in the film first, before people start knocking him down.

It makes a change to see lesser known actors playing villains in these blockbusters, anyway. The money saved can pay for a sharper script and effects. Most of the A list villains in the Batman films were lousy, except for Jim Carrey and Michelle Pfeiffer. Jack Nicholson was too hammy for my liking.

Always liked Molina after his Rajah Jackson turn in Boogie Nights , anyway.
