[Stupid Jacob]

Saw this last night. It was pretty good. Nice plot, action, acting. Plus it had really hot chick (what? Of course i'm shallow. I'm 15 year old male).  It was pretty close to the game. The CGI got a little annoying, but it take away from the movie.
3 1/2 out of 5 slimes.

P.S. Has anyone else seen trailers for scary movie 2? Oy vey. And I thought the first one was stupid.

I agree on the Scary Movie thing sooooo much. It was sooo dumb. There were like 3 funny parts in the whole movie. The sequal looks even worst, although the one sequal joke was kind of funny

Girl: Oh yeah, duh

it's still not that funny but it got a chuckle out of that line. But that's just me. Hopefully I'll see Tomb Raider soon.Stupid Jacob wrote:

Since I listened to Stupid Jacob's raving review, I went to see this movie last night. I was pleasently surprised. It was exactly like he said. A sucessful "summertime big budget thrill ride". It delievers just enough to entertain without overwhelming. I think this will appeal to many people who don't even play video games. I have never played this game, yet I found it to be fully engaging.
Also, she is hot. Really hot. Not just fifteen year old males, men of all ages can come and drool. Rather shallow, people expect too much from their  "summertime big budget thrill ride".

SEE IT!

Things I learned from this:
1. Archeologists are rich
2. They like to pay for expensive pieces of machinery to try and kill them.
3. Robotics tech wizards leave all of their gizmo behind when they decide to rsik it all to save the world. They really don't mind impersonating extra baggage.
4. Not much else, which is to be expected from your "summertime big budget thrill ride"

I agree that it was pretty entertaining.  I can't understand why all of the professional critics have attacked it so viciously.  What were they expecting from a video game movie?  CITIZEN KANE?  It was better than EVOLUTION anyway.
