Anyone seen The Evil Within AKA Baby Blood (1990)

Wow!  

What a cool film!

I usually don't go for French made films but this one is great!

A parasitic creature crawls up from the bowels of hell and is released rather disgustingly from inside a leopard.  

It then impregnates itself within an unsuspecting young woman named Yanka.

It speaks to her from within her womb and instructs her to slaughter every guy she can get into the sack.

It says things to her like, "Yanka!  I need to grow."  "I need to feed....I need blood."

The creature prevents Yanka from killing herself and Yanka develops a strange love/hate relationship with it.

Once "junior" is born, look out!  Man that thing is disgusting!

I rented the dubbed cut version which is done quite well actually.  

I've heard that the uncut version is loaded with gore.

I can believe it because the cut version was bloody as hell!

I highly recommend this one.

Since both Blockbuster Video stores here in my town rent it I would venture to guess that it should be available at one near you.

The idea is great.  The idea is great because it's very Lovecraftian, and at the risk of sounding all "artsy and trendy because I like Lovecraft", anything with that kind of tone and ideas behind it is very very cool.  Unfortunately, it's also French and pretentious and too damn talky and downright boring in places.  Maybe the extra gore would help, but I think it should have been given to a director with...I dunno...a sense of pacing, maybe?
