Took a trip to Sun Coast Video.

I went to Sun Coast today at the mall and I bought some movies first I bought the live action Guyver movie then I bought something that a LOT of people like and that was the DVD of "Return of the Living Dead" I would have bought a Gamera movie (This one looks new I think it came after the one called Legion) but didn't have enough money for it, Then I saw "The Story of Ricky" was going to buy it but didn't have enough money for it AGAIN. I also saw a Zombie movie called "Forever Evil" and wondered if I should have bought it but I didn't..does anyone suggest "Forever Evil"?

A book about his adventures is threatened.  I recommend it, in fact I would have put it in my library even if I didn't know those responsible via the six degrees of acquainting of the Internet.  Goofy, bad, but fun, in its brainless way.

I've seen "Forever Evil".  Um...pretty low budget horror movie.  Borrows a lot of Lovecraft mythos, if I understand correctly (I'm not a Lovecraft fan).  Lot of fun if you go in with the realization that it comes across as having been filmed over the weekend and financed by a bake sale and a car wash :)

you actually bought stuff at a suncoast.  They seem to price everything 5-10 dollars higher than other stores.

Yeah, but they stock older Anchor Bay titles at 9.95.  Buy two, get one free.

Does anyone still shop at Suncoast?

Back in my VHS days, I shopped there a lot. But I haven't purchased many DVDs there.

I find that Suncoast's prices are higher than Best Buy and Circuit City, and they are MUCH higher than online sites like Deep Discount DVD.

What does everyone else think?

I did get "they shoot horses don't they" "even dwarves started small" and a couple of others at $5 a piece there, but for anything regular price I wouldn't go there

oh i loves the suncaost i unfortunatly dont have one at my mall in town closest one is an hour away recently i bought "story of ricky" probaly 5 dollars overpriced and black vengence four movies for ten dollars! what really sold me on black vengence was the title "black gestopo". i think the prices are a mixed bag some movies do seem way over priced, but if you look around you can usally find a title thats underpriced and balance out your purchase.. Really tho i cant complain about the price because they have a great selection.

There is a Best Buy near where I live that has a selection that rivals anything I have seen at Suncoast and has cheaper prices.

But my favorite is Deep Discount DVD's website.  Their movies are usually $1 - $5 cheaper than any stores in my area, and they offer FREE shipping. The only movies you really need to be careful of are some of the new releases. I can usually get them for $1 or $2 cheaper in stores than on Deep Discount's website.

Other than that, Deep Discount has saved me hundreds (maybe thousands) of dollars.

I love Best Buy!  But driving three hours to the closest one to me kinda defeats the purpose.  Oh well.

Not only is Suncoast more expensive but I don't like the way they catalogue their films.

If you know what titles you're looking for it's easy.....but if you're just browsing and not sure about what you want,  it sucks!

Titles are put behind titles and are seperated by those big plastic dividers with the name of the film on each one.  You can't just give a quick look to see what they have.  On some you have to actually pull out a handful of movies to see what's behind them.

You have to flip through each rack to see what they have......and that can become VERY uncomfortable the closer you get to the floor.

I honestly don't know how that place stays in business!
