I know it's been 15 years since her death, but you know who I miss?  Anne Ramsey.  I have never seen anybody make a mean old lady so enjoyable.

Plus, she was in THE GOONIES.  That's always a plus.

So what actors do miss?  Who do you wish was still around making movies?

Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Cullen

Easy one:  Vincent Price and Peter Cushing.  Also Roddy McDowell and Anthony Perkins.

Dunners

Phil hartman
Raul Julia
Madeline Kahn
Marty Feldman
Grant Chapman

save the world, kill a politician or two.

Dolph Lundgren

I'm with Neon, definitely Bruce and Brandon Lee.

And Richard Crenna.  He was great in the Rambos.

I know there's more, but I can't think of them right now.

If I had a time machine, I wouldn't go back to Rome or Babylon, or the Civil War or any of that.

I'd give anything to have been able to see the Marx Brothers on Broadway.

Fearless Freep

I'd give anything to see the Marx Brothers in ancient Rome...

Actualy there aren't really any actors I've missed because many of the old greats (Steve McQueen, Peter O'Toole, Ketherine Hepburn, etc..) were before my prime so I miss the anticipationand excitement of them coming out with a new movie.  I don't think there are any actors today, even my favorites like Sean Connery and Harrison Ford, that I really get excited about them coming out with a new movie.  I guess I'm more interested in the characters than the actors

Vermin Boy

Ditto on Phil Hartman. Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure were two of the all-time great TV characters.

Speaking of McClure, It's a shame old Doug isn't still with us. I think he died within a year of that other B-movie great, Peter Cushing, back in the mid-nineties.

I agree with the others - Phil Hartman, John Candy, Anne Ramsey et al.

However, I also agree with Freep. Most of the deceased actors I really like were already either dead or retired when I saw their movies. I can't really miss them, but as others have suggested, it would have been cool to see their movies when they were new.

The actors I really miss are still alive, but are either retired from the business, or working, but getting too old to play the sort of roles that made them famous. I could come up with a pretty exensive list.

ho-hum...I miss the older small time actors of the 60's like Ross Martin,Wally Cox, and Dan Blocker..the bigger names like Peter Sellers and Robert Shaw, and then there's my icons like Roddy Mcdowall and Vincent Price..I'm sure there are others but why depress myself?
