I feel that this is really an inspired thing to do and a step forward to take. I really do not understand why celebrating ANY national pride, be it caucasion, black, asian, whatever should be looked at negatively. Also notice who provides criticism.

Also, I post the link at the bottom, but if someone could teach me how to make a real link on this site, I would appreciate it.

Hahahaha, fascinating, the only reason I would want to start such a club would be to make a point of the idiocy of them, especially in an increasingly globalized world.

It is also funny, how everyone makes American history to be the definitive white history, Europe is a rich white, western history as well.

The other thing of note, is that what race in the world has not done acts of debauchery and evil. The Aztecs wiped a few civiliazastions off the world, the Germans and Spaniards have a bloody gruesome history, Black people enslaved other Black people and Egypt was a very intolerant empire, and lastly, lets not forget the awful cleansing in China, Russia, and the guerillas of Vietnam.

Every race has its flaws and dark spots of history, I am tired of being labelled racist just because I was born white, who is discriminating whom? I am Jewish and have started an International Awareness club on campus and am decended from Eastern European background, why not celebrate all of it?

People are people.
And NO culture can look down its nose at another, with out studiously avoiding the mirror just over their sholder.
Depressing, ain't it?

ASHTHECAT - Unless you were at that dinner table when those things were allegedly said, you should probably STFU and stop swinging your broad brush around.

I find it interesting that a Caucasian club, according to the fellow from the NAACP, is going to create "racial tension," but a double standard apparently isn't.

Personally, I'd be more in favour of organizations that encourage kids from different backgrounds to come together. People generally don't need an officially sanctioned organization to help them stick with their own.

Click on the Help link at the top of the phorum, it shows you how to do it using the Badmovies URL. Just copy&paste the example and replace the URL with your own.

As for the club; It's always bothered me how we now have reverse racism. In the past, white people had white-only organizations and that was racist, but now we have black-only organizations (even if legally a white person could join) and that's considered ok.
