All indications are that it bites the Big Red One--more than the first. "Jack" winds up in a tropical resort (!?) and can now upchuck snowballs that act like Critters. Feh.

Jack Frost 2 would probably be good for fans of the first Jack Frost, but it's certainly got problems.  The budget is MUCH lower than the original, so we barely ever get to see the snowman or the deaths--almost all of the violence is suggested, not shown.  This would make the movie completely unwatchable if it weren't for the laughably awful computer animated special effects that show up towards the end.  Jack has babies, which turn out to be very Critters-like killer snowballs that seem to have been animated by the janitor at Industrial Light and Magic.  Also, the sequel takes itself much less seriously.  The original actually sort of pretended to be a real movie, but Jack Frost 2 is sheer goofiness from beginning to end.

Certainly there are worse movies out there, but you may be a bit disappointed.

It could have been worse - it could have been the sequal to Micheal Keaton's crapfest.
