JEEPERS CREEPERS II (2003) - Some good stuff here in this film. I know all the stories about the director and it was much more obvious in this film than the first one. I'm wondering if I would have noticed if I hadn't heard about what the director did.

The creature itself is like the legendary mothman from THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES. The most grusome parts are the tooth and belly button they find in those flying star things that he blew out those tires on the bus with. The best part is the older guy who uses the harpoon gun to bring the creature down and he keeps the creature in his barn for 23 more years waiting for it to awaken while charging money as an exhibit. What happened to the Jeepers Creepers song at the end of the first one? I liked the first one better.

Max Gardner

Meh, I liked the first hour of the first movie.  It was tense and innovative and, at first, the Creeper wasn't just some jackass in a monster suit.  Then it all went to hell.  Still, I suppose the sequel can't be all bad if it has Leland Palmer from Twin Peaks wielding a harpoon cannon.

The part where the monster pulled its own head off was creepy. Or the way it peered into the bus upside down.

Scott....

I've noticed that you never put the word SPOILERS before a movie you talk about where you give away IMPORTANT details.

I have not seen this film..

You ruined it for me.

Thanks alot.

I sorta assume it anytime a thread has a movie title as the subject that it's going to talk about stuff from the movie and that probably will include spoiler material

Going places unmapped, to do things unplanned, to people unsuspecting

Call me ignorant but Im just curious what was the story behind the director.I always hear about it but I never get the full story.

Smells like popcorn and shame

There's a huge argument going over at the message boards at IMDB under this film's title about the director. You should be able to gleam most of the juicy details from there...

I luv dolma

BOTH MOVIES ROCK! I CANNOT BELIEVE ALL THIS NEGATIVE VIBE THAT I AM GETTING FROM THE CRITICS AND EVERYONE!

Years ago he made a movie called Clownhouse about some criminals dressing up as clowns and menacing some young boys. During the making of that movie, he molested one of the stars. Many of his movies feature boys with their shirts off or in their underwear. Watching Clownhouse, you're not sure if you're watching a movie or an ad for boy's underwear.

Thats f**king sick.I used to think Jeepers Creepers was a decent movie but after Ive heard that, I say f**k this guy.

I felt quite disappointed with this one. I haven't seen "Clownhouse" or "Powder", the other films by Salva, but I think that while the man has a real talent for the bizarre and creating atmospheres (the dreamlike attack that opens the film is great), he is not very good at building a pace or at telling a story. If he does a number three, I hope he hires somebody to co-write the script.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Perhaps I did get carried away with this one. The post did kinda give away the best parts, but I do kinda agree with Freep. Sorry about that ASHTHECAT. I have also had people say I'm to vague when I state how great/interesting a film is and ask for more. Maybe I'll put the warning "SPOILERS" on the next time.

Sometimes you can give away "SPOILERS" to give people reason enough to watch a film. JEEPERS CREEPERS II may be just such a film. Alot of critizism on this film.

Here are a couple sites where you can read more about Victor Salva and what he did;

I just watched this and it was pretty good!

I have a great idea for the 3rd installment and will be writing a story for it for eventual submission...
My idea should take no longer than a few months to complete...hopefully.

The Creeper is a great original character and one could write many different variations of its evildoings.

I've already started on it tonight.
I have the outline for the entire story in my head...all I need to do is put it down on paper.
I need to get busy on it so that narrative cutting edge does not dull.

LOL! This is what happens when I suggest Salva needs a co-writer. Now seriously, if you want my opinion, don't make the whole plot revolve around a single situation, such as Salva did on JC II, and try to make the transition between scenarios / scenes / fluid and consistant (this was sort of a problem on the first movie IMHO). I'd like to hear something about it when you're done.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
