I just recently bought a copy of Grizzly(yes bad movie but fun) and upon checking IMDB.com it seems there was a sequel made in 83.  Anyone seen it? Where would one find it?? Any other similar genre suggestions???
Thanks in advance.

Don't know about a Grizzly sequel, but I'd definitely recommend Prophecy (1979) if you like cheesy killer bear movies. Worth seeing just for the giant hopping banana.

Food of the Gods with Marjoe Gortner  (sp.?), Giant rats attack and  get blown away with shotguns. Funny thing is they used real rats and it looks like they were actually shooting them with rat shot like we used to buy for our .22's.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Dogs (aka Slaughter) (1976) is a B-movie about, uh, killer dogs.  I have this one on VHS recorded off of USA a few years ago.  Here's a link to a review:

Incidentally, some of the woods scenes for Grizzly was filmed not far from where I grew up.  The film crew stayed at the small resort where my Mom worked.  It was a big deal in the area, but when the movie was released everyone was like "uh, okay...so that's IT??"

This reminds me - maybe someone can help.  Tom Skerrit and a bunch of nobodies on a ranch in central Africa.  Something happens and the lions in the area all become maneaters and start killing off the fodder while Skerrit hunts them with his trusty rifle.  It was on HBO back in 1980 or so and I saw it like 20 times in one month.  But I was nine.  Does anyone have the title??

Savage Harvest.....
So far, I remember this title and Food the Gods(And part 2)
Going to look for Prohecy and Dogs, thanks!!

Ash

Yes...it is Savage Harvest.

That movie kicks ass!

I remember watching it when I was a kid.
I saw it about a year ago on cable.
They only showed it that one time as far as I know.

Eirik

"Savage Harvest (1981)??"

Yes - that's definitely it.  I remember it had a title I didn't get at the time.  Hope I can find it.  It seems like it would be a good companion piece for when I take the kids to the zoo.  "See kids, not all lions are lazy freeloaders."

How about "Day of the Animal" with....Leslie Nielsen?

"Killer animals movies" is one of my top three genre.

My fav's from when I was a kid are Night of the Lepus, The Swarm, Piranha, and The one about the rouches that make people burst into flame.

For the more modern ones I really liked

 Blood Surf, Ticks, and Mosquito.

ulthar

I think I've only seen the version of Piranha that had Alexandra Paul (Baywatch) and the guy from "The Greatest American Hero."  That movie was SO irritating, it was fun.

"Paul...Paul....Paul....Paul"

She must have said that dude's name about 1600 times in that movie; it must have been really hard for her to remember, too, since it is her last name irl.

That was a good one!
