Words out that someone's trying to buy Disney.  And, judging by the article, it's a pretty serioue attempt.

Never thought I'd see the day.  It absolutely floored me.

Gives "Save Disney" a different spin doesn't it?

Well, in the short run, this ought to drive up the price of my Disney stock shares. Of course, this is not the first battle for control of Disney. A good book that lays out all the players for that previous battle is "Storming the Magic Kingdom: Wall Street, the Raiders, and the Battle for Disney" by John Taylor from Knopf Publishers, 1987.

Read earlier today that MS and Bill Gates between them own a fair share of Comcast stock, so that makes this play even more interesting to watch.

(I don't know if that is true, I haven't checked it...just read it on another board).

Its not a surprise to me. Eisner has practically driven Disney into the ground.I recently read that they were going to stop making cell animation movies.Thats just wrong, Disney made its buissness off of the those cell animated movies and are a classic part of the american movie experince.
Hopefully if Disney does get bought out the new owners will have more sense and hart than Eisner.

Smells like popcorn and shame

Disney made it's business on good stories and interesting characters, regardless of the technology.  Something they seem to have forgotten how to do...something Pixar remembers

Amen to that.

Finding Nemo was one of last year's best films.
