This movie was NUTS!

Take Kakihara, for example. Seeing Japan's answer to Joe Pesci was pretty impressive - a guy with his mouth split almost from ear to ear, using piercings to keep it together? WOW!

I was a little disappointed that it took SO LONG for Ichi to show up, but his killing methods were pretty unique, to say the least!!!

(for those who haven't seen it  - a whole squad was assigned to mop up after Ichi whenever he killed someone, and it was about 4-5 people each time. VERY MESSY).

I couldn't decide if my favorite scene was the first axe kick by Ichi using his badass bootblade, or the "eating the fist" scene by Kakihara.

A little drawn out, but what a payoff! I never expected the whole scene with the kid, about 5 mins from the end....you know which one I mean....

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

Dude!  I'm really happy you enjoyed this flick!

Kakihara is by far one of the best bad guys in cinema, and one of the most mentally unstable as well.  As for best scene in the film I'm going to have to say the fist eating scene or the tongue removal scene.  Or even the ear scene towards the end!  Great stuff!

I'm just curious as to if you saw the R version or the unrated?  Unfortunatly I could only place my hands on the R version but plan to order the unrated soon.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed!

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

I luv dolma

That movie was sick and twisted. I wish I can cook up a story like that.
