As I tortured a friend with "Candy" the other night, I suddenly realized that  "Magic Carpet Ride" was far and away the best part of the movie.  Easily heads and tails above anything else.  Really, much better than what happens during the rest of the movie's course.  I mean, damn - that movie SUCKS.  ABout the time Richard Burton was licking gin up off of the floor of his limo (we get a POV from under the car, courtesy of Plexiglas), Todd gave me a really hateful stare.

And this brings me to two movies, both of which have songs at the end and those songs are easily the most enjoyable parts.  The first has to be "Howling II."  I admit that the idea of werewolves who are only hurt by titanium is hilarious to me, but the music video with Sybil ripping off her top (looped no less than 17 times) was awesomely funny.  The other movie is "Graveyard Shift."  It ends with a funky little tune that is peppered with quotes from the movie.

And can anyone here do the "Jellyfish?"

How about The Ballad of Harry Warden at the end of My Bloody Valentine? I'd still like to know who sings it. It always sounded kind of like Paul Williams to me.

Well-a,
I'm sayin', fella,
Just grab your Cinderella,
And do the jella!
The jilla jalla jella!
It's really swell-a,
To do the Jalla-Jellyfish!!

Agreed, that's definitely the best part of that movie-- if not of ANY movie EVER.

Can anyone remember what movie plays The Beach Boys "wouldn't it be nice" at the end of the movie over a scene of bomb going off, or people fighting? That question has been bugging me for years.

Neil Sedaka's best song indeed- it should've been a million seller.

Jellyfish indeed.  How about Hellraiser 3 ending with Motorhead's tune "Hellraiser."  And have any of you seen the music video for that?  Lemmy playing poker with Pinhead, and beating him.  Extremely badass.  I think Lemmy is the only one who could pull that off.

Roger & Me, maybe? No bombs, but they do use the song over shots of Flint's decay, and include an interview with a laid-off worker who describes his nervous breakdown centered around that song.

The song at the end of Madman is creepier than anything in the movie.

lets not forget 'Ittsy bittsy spider" at the end of '8 legged freaks.'

"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

The Burgomaster

How about the song "Heaven Help Us" for THE CRAZIES?

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

The western "McKenna's gold" starts with a song by Jose Feliciano. I found it quite funny, and in my version of the film it was sung in spanish.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Madhu

hi. for long time i am looking for this song by Jose Feliciano from movie mckenna's gold.  i would be greatful if anyone can mail me that song.

Dave Munger

I love the all instrumental soundtrack of Conan, especially the orgy theme. I have an audio tape of it somewhere, but it's in pretty sad shape. The song at the very end of 28 Days Later is pretty much the only song in the world that makes me want to get up and *D*A*N*C*E*

Also "You're Eatin' Out My Heart and Soul" from MOTEL HELL.

BTW,  that laid-off auto worker from ROGER AND ME also wrote a book about his life on the assembly line called RIVETHEAD, which is excellent reading.  His name is Ben Hamper.

Brother Ragnarok

Let's not forget "Manic Depresso," also known as the "I'm So Happy Song," by Sykotik Sinfoney, a wanna-be Faith No More from California.  The song and accompanying video are maybe the only cool thing about "Bad Channels."
