If you do, and you haven't been keeping up with your sci-fi news, you'll be happy to know it's returning to the (*ugh*) Sci-Fi Channel (in the form of a 4 hour mini-series).

Ellie

I am a big fan of Farscape and was very sorry to see it go.

Max Gardner

I'm a big fan of Farscape.  The concept and plot aren't strikingly original, but the production values are fantastic and it has more characterization and twists than any other five shows combined.  Crichton's character arc is amazing - he goes from obsessively searching for passage back to Earth, to accepting his situation, to realizing what an awful place Earth is when he finally does return, to a final descent into stark raving insanity.  I'm happy we're getting a proper ending.

Big fan here.  Loved the characters; the long range plots actually kept me interested and it had moments of true humour that were great

John :"I am a superior being!"

D'Argo: "I hate this stuff"
John: "Chicks dig it"

D'Argo (in a moment of hension): "I have to pee"

John (trying to sneak into a Shadow Depository): "We have the eleven secret herbs and spices"

D'Argo (in an emotional moment when John is about to be frozen for many years) - "Chiana and I are having great sex"

Unfortunately for me, I missed the last few episodes because I was so upset with sci-fi that my heart wasn't in it so I hope to catch them somehow somewhere before the mini-series.  I also dropped most of my cable access for budget reasons at the time so I need to get that back to catch the series

SciFi just re-aired the final few episodes a few weeks ago, and now they're airing the series from the start. Here's the listing for the next couple of weeks;

Sci-Fi Channel, Friday, April 9 5:00 AM
• Farscape - Rygel takes a crystal essential to Moya's survival for trade with the Tavleks.
Sci-Fi Channel, Monday, April 12 1:00 AM
• Farscape - Wolflike bounty hunters approach Crichton and Aeryn as they try to re-create a wormhole.
Sci-Fi Channel, Friday, April 16 5:00 AM
• Farscape - Crichton must save Moya from attack by a race of scavengers.
Sci-Fi Channel, Monday, April 19 1:00 AM

SciFi cancelled Farscape because it was not increasing it's ratings . Truth be told it was their highest rated original series.  I believe they killed it because it was getting too expensive to produce ( in other words it was popular and they were afraid the actors would start wanting more money) and although it had high ratings, it wasn't attracting the right demographic (18-29 year olds).

I am surprised they are running the mini-series because the producer originally thought they wouldn't and were going to try an syndicate it.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I think sci-fi screwed up Farscape because they kept  messing around with the schedule.  Even after they finally settled on Friday  nightm they would play a handful of new espisodes, and then stop for awhile.  They did a really bad job by not playing re-runs in that slot and bu not playing reruns in other slots (at a time when they were playing other shows to death with reruns several times a day)  That Farscape never attracted a large audience was, I think, Sci-Fi channels fault in how they dealt with it in the lineup

That's exactly why I quit watching it - they'd show two or three new episodes, then it was reruns for months.  Hell with 'em.  I'll buy it on DVD and finally, for the first time, watch it from the beginning and not have to consult my long-term memory concerning plot developments in the previous episode.

Dunners

is a very entertaining and refreshing series. was sad to see it get canceled by corporate bulls**t. yes the series was getting expensive but they cancelled it to get th eoppertunity to air some new cheaper shows that will suck and be cancelled mid season.
