Okay, waaaay off-topic here, but:

If you go to the IMDb and look up the page for Moustapha Akkad, producer of Halloween, does that crash your browser? I can view it with Nutscrape 6.1 (a vast improvement over 6.0), but not IE.

And yet, the Netscape home page I've been viewing every time I launch IE? It crashed Netscape 6.1. A Netscape page crashes Netscape. Oh my God, it's the sound of one hand crapping.

What causes browser crashes, anyway? (By "crash," I mean the browser window simply goes away--no harm done, just an interruption. I had no such trouble with the phenomenon under Windows98, so I'm not even sure this is the right lingo.) I've read that low memory does it, but I have a lot more memory now than my trusty old eOne had. (If that baby was expandable, I'd still be using it. It was sweet.)

Those two pages are the only ones I've found that cause my IE or N6.1 to poop out. (Actually, any IMDb page for someone with the name "Akkad" does it. I'm not lying.) It's not a big deal, but I'm curious and can't seem to find any better info...

Never mind.

My Pop-Up killer program (NoPops) was set to eliminate windows containing the text "ad - Microsoft Internet Explorer," so of course, the IMDb pages containing "(Akk)ad - Microsoft Internet Explorer" got whacked.

I'll bet anything some other command in NoPops is causing the Netscape crashes, too.

"Why I keep fall down? Oh, me tie shoes together. Ow, me fall down. So much blood. Why I keep fall down? Oh..."
