Over at CNN they have an article regarding fall programming being retooled in light of making programming more sensitive to recent events...here is a clip that applies to badmovie fans...

Beyond depictions of terrorist attacks, the networks have to be careful with any scenes of New York under siege. Fox, for example, has decided to pull its made-for-TV movie "The Rats," originally scheduled for Monday, in favor of a repeat run of "The Nutty Professor."

"The Rats" takes place in Manhattan, as hundreds of rodents threaten to overtake the city; it's uncertain when the picture might hit the air.

I can understand the networks pulling some violent movies in this situation, but the bland, mindless crap they seem to be inserting in place of these movies is what really has me worried.

I saw a commercial for that last night on the local FOX channel. It's almost ironic that to take a breather from the horror of reality, I've been taking in equal parts of Doctor Who and B-Movies on video. I was planning on watching The Rats, but I guess I'll have to break out Cube or Assault on Precinct 13 instead.
