Couple Of Questions About Se7en (SPOILERS!)

I watched this last night and I have a couple of questions.

First, the man who was forced by John Doe to wear that disturbing strap-on and screw that girl with it...would he face any charges by the police for doing so?
What would they do with him?

Now for question #2.
As all of you who have seen this film know, Detective Mills (Brad Pitt) discovers his wife's head in that box and then turns and shoots John Doe through the head, killing him.
A death Doe definitely deserved.

My question is what would happen to Detective Mills after that?
Would he be taken into custody and charged?
Or would his fellow police officers not say anything and let it slide?

What would most likely have occurred?

As for the first question, I have no idea what would happen to the unfortunate guy.


As for the second question where Mills shoots John Doe:

I believe that he would face some type of charges for shooting the psycho.  There would definently be a trial, but he would probably not be convicted of anything.  I would imagine that he would leave the force for obvious reasons and die as a drunk, completely alone.

But that's just my opinion.

I edited the title so hopefully I won't ruin this movie for people that haven't seen it yet.

Now that you've got me thinking of Se7en again, I would like to see a Kevin Spacey zombie.  Brad Pitt shoots him, and Doe rises up again to slaughter all those who have sinned, and eat their brains of course...

It could be like a heavenly plague or something.  

Or maybe not...
