Hope itÂ´ll be as good as it looks at the moment :) As a big AvP Fan (Regardless if Movie/Games or Comics) I sure hope this will not suck ass ;)

It'll suck, they hired an incompitant to writ and direct the movie. Instead of trying to put in the extra effort to come up with something unique he chose to rip off..

Not to mention giving into the studios and making the movie PG-13. Yeah its the same dumbf**k who did resident evil.

I'm not a big fan of Anderson's work, but Event Horizon was decent. Resident Evil was passable if you disregard the fact that it was based on the game.

I still have faith in Anderson but I gotta agree with Dunners and the PG-13 rating.

Aliens are terrible monsters that kill without hesitation...violently bursting out of peoples' chests, ripping out peoples' throats with their secondary mouth/jaws and making a bloody mess out of anything that lives.

Predators are skilled hunters who have absolutely no problem hunting & killing any species and they do it with a combination of archaic and highly advanced weaponry...and they live for it...collecting the skulls of their victims as trophies.
The hunt encompasses their entire existence.

Humans are pretty much the Aliens & Predators all rolled up into one, making us worse then either offworld species.

Now, when you think of all that, wouldn't you agree that a solid R rating is the ONLY way to go?

Tsk Tsk...."sigh"
I really hope this film doesn't suck.
I have a feeling it's gonna be a tame, watered-down version of what it really could've been, and that's an extremely violent struggle between 3 species wrapped inside an intelligent and inventive story.

I've had high hopes for this one, but PG-13? What the hell?

I have to agree, it looks like another example of watering down a story to put more bums in seats. Now I'm concerned that most of the tension and horror will be forgotten in favour of generic action.

I miss the days before Hollywood figured out you can make more money off a mediocre film than a good one.

Now wait a minute! Just because a Game is the base for the Movie does NOT make it a bad movie!

If it werent for the damn Microphone dropping into the scenes all the time in Resident Evil, It would be a better Movie as it is. But it was most definatly one of the better game based once.... (I mean, take a look at wing commander.... now THERE was a s**tty movie!).

btw... Part II of Resident Evil is coming soon too ;)

Hey I'm not putting down the flick by any means. I have it on DVD and it is pretty entertaining. It's just that it has very little to do with the game, especially the zombies in it.

It's just that I'm much more able to enjoy the film if I'm not comparing it to the game.

But I do think the Game was incorporated into the movie quite nicely...

Look at it! :)

The Mansion is there... The Secret base beneath it is there, Even the darn train from the game is in the movie!

The Zombies come in a greater variety then in the Game (where there was only 4 or 5 types of different Zombies). The Traitor also appears in the movie...

The AI from the Hive they could have left out... since it never appeared in the game...

All in all I think this is maybe THE best Game-to-Movie convertation ever... (If the darn microphone would not continously slip into the cameraÂ´s sight that is *hehehe*) In comparison with WingCommander anyways :)

(PS: I guess my being a fan of Milla Yovovic also being some part of this maybe ;))

I read the PG-13 thing and thought "no, surely it's not true" I've seen the preview and never taken notice. At the very second I'm reading this, the preview comes on the television behind me, and I hear "rated PG-13." Creepy.
anywho, that's just silly, the movie should be R no doubt.

All hopes I have had for this being a good movie have dwindled somewhat.

Out of curiousity, and since us in the land down under don't have the same rating system than you guys, what were the other Alien films rated?
