to all fellow fallen-monster vision and Joe Bob Brigg's fans, what's up with Joe Bob? His site hasn't been updated in a month, also he sent me an e-mail saying he'd be doing a comedy tour through my state but i haven't heard anything  else from him.

here's the URL for his site: http://www.joebobbriggs.com/

Mr_Vindictive

You know, I was watching Casino the other day and started wondering just where Briggs is now.

I seriously miss MonsterVision.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Chopper

no kidding! that was a great show. i can't count the amount of lonely nights during my high school years Joe Bob's show kept me company with his great b-movies and bad sense of humor.

Susan

maybe we should start a petition to get joe bob on the new horror channel with his own show

Brother Ragnarok

I can't imagine they'll let the Horror Channel NOT have Joe Bob involved somehow.  Last I knew, he was working on a pilot for a new show, but it was real hush-hush.

There are only two important things in life - monsters and hot chicks.

Rape is just cause for murdering.
    - Strapping Young Lad

Chopper

hey I'm down. Joe Bob has been out of the game for too long.

Chopper

no kidding. i hear Joe Bob isstill doing stand-up acts, and i know he has put out more books and some dvd commentaries but i didn't know about his new show, kickass.

daveblackeye15

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

Bandit Keith from Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series (episode 12)

DARKWOLF

He was great on Monstervision on TNT. Also what happen to his hot Mail Girls on the show?

Yaddo42

He was on Nick DeGilio's radio show on WGN 720 AM in Chicago about three weeks ago after appearing at a cult and horror movie convention in the area. The best part of the interview was when someone asked about the making of "Casino" and he said that everyone, including DeNiro and Pesci, would spend time talking to and listening to the stories of LQ Jones whenever he was around. He said it was so strange but cool that the focus of attention was not the big name A-list actors, but this living legend from b-movies and character roles.

Maybe he'd had a rough night or a long weekend, but he wasn't up to par when I've seen or heard him as a guest on other people's shows. When people called in asking about what happened to certain B-movie stars or looking for certain films that went by other titles, his answers were usually vague. When I looked up some of the stuff he said out of curiosity, I noticed much of his info was behind and a couple of films that he claimed had many many alternate titles only had one or two. Like I said he may have been just having an off night, but his info seemed lacking compared even to his own site.

I would like to see him host a movie show of some kind again though, he has the right mix for the love/hate relationship a b-movie fan usually has with genre movies. I even miss his segments on "The Daily Show" poking fun of televangelists he did under his real name, John Bloom. They weren't frrequent, and I guess maybe they seemed a little dated and out-of-step with the vein of topical political humor that the show focuses on now.

Jason

He's going to be an advisor and possible on-air host for Blue Orchid Entertainment & Joel Silver's Scream Channel when it launches on cable in January 2005 - http://www.screamchannel.com

This channel has no relation or connection to The Horror Channel which will be launching this October on cable. - http://www.horrorchannel.com

John Bloom I forgot about him doing The Daily Show that was really funny. Also he did a thing on a FOX news magazine show I forgot the name of it.

I'd love to find a copy of Joe Bob's "autobiography" called "The History of Western Civilization, or My Story by Joe Bob Briggs" Completely silly tale of rednecks, bass boats, and strip joints in Texas. I still find myself using the sound effect "Thwack!" at odd times and snickering at it. And since the only other person I know who read the book is my friend in high school who told me about it, I know I can't explain why I'm laughing to anyone without sounding like a twit.

Chopper

FOX news allowed Joe Bob onto their premises?! the revolution has begun folks! lol.
