I thought it might be a little interesting to know what happened to some child stars that appeared in horror films.

"The Omen" HARVEY STEPHENS as Damien:
Basically nada. Except suddenly a role in a film directed by Ben Affleck: "I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meat Hook, and Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal at Disney (1993)" Hmm, maybe there really was something to the omen curse after all...

"the Omen II" JONATHAN SCOTT-TYLER as Damien:
Once played jesus on stage :)  No concrete facts on where he is now, just an online rumor that he's living  in Australia as a web consultant

"Poltergeist" -
HEATHER O'ROURKE as Carol Ann:
Died  making Poltergeist 3 from congenital intestinal stenosis ate age 13.
OLIVER ROBINS as Robbie
USC film school grad. Did no work in film after Poltergeist II but latest writing project is "Roomies"
DOMINIQUE DUNNE Murdered by her estranged boyfriend

"The Shining" DANNY LLOYD as Danny:
Science Teacher somewhere in the midwest

"Pet Semetary" MIKO HUGHES as Gage:
Still acting. Was the kid in "Mercury Rising", more recently in "Clockstoppers"
He also likes beekeeping

"Amityville Horror" MEENO PELUCE as Matt
Teaches history at Hollywood High.

"Children of the corn" COURTNEY GAINS as Malachai:
Still acting...was in some pretty notable movies like "Memphis Belle" and "Sweet Home Alabama"

"Child's Play" ALEX VINCENT as Andy:
Searching for a new career. He's compiling a book of poems.

There's quite a few I couldn't find any info on. Like the other kids in "Amityville Horror", the little girl in "Halloween 5", the kids in "Something Wicked This way Comes", even the little girl in "Troll". Dangit!

The girl from HALLOWEEN 5 is Danielle Harris.  She was in quite a few things while she was growing up and is apparently still acting.

Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Thanks, must have clicked on the wrong name. Looks like she had some issues with an obsessed fan. Too bad they don't all have recent pics. I did find one for Danny lloyd, i'm still not totally sure it's him but according to one site it is:

Danny?

History teacher is a really cool job for Meeno Peluce to have. I didn't know he was in that movie, I remember him from this old show I did a whole thing about on my blog one time, called Voyagers. He was the sidekick of grown up time traveler named Phineas Bogg who for some reason knew nothing about history. Meeno was the son of a history teacher or something. The time machine was called an omni and looked like a pocket watch.

Too bad John erik-hexum died. i loved Voyagers and only ever missed one episode, I used to love that show. I'm sure in retrospect it's corny, at the time it was a fun adventure show. I wrote the sci-fi channel hate mail once, they were advertising their channel with snippets from various shows/movies and one of them was Voyagers. I claimed it was false advertising if they didn't aire the show nor did they ever have plans to. WTF?  There seriously needs to be a channel showing reruns of shows that simply don't rerun

Fearless Freep

Wow!  Yeah, I remember Voyager.  I remember really liking that show

I remember seeing ads on the SF channel that showed scenes of Gamera and The Prisoner, I was looking forward to seeing some of that. This was quite awhile ago, they may have run both of those briefly around that time.

I'm going to try linking to my old Voyagers blog entry, but I'm not sure my blog works that way -

If this works the way I suspect it does, you'll have to scroll way down if you want to see that entry. Arrg, it makes no sense for blogger to work that way!

Meeno Peluce used to be everywhere in the late 70s/early 80s on TV. He was the smart-alec cute kid of the moment for about 5 years. I saw him showing up Dirk Benedict on an old "Love Boat" episode a few months ago.  Voyagers was OK, maybe I just saw too much of it since it ran in reruns on weekends locally years ago, I got annoyed that Hexum's character was beyond stupid. Peluce was also in the western sitcom "Best of the West", slightly cute show but mostly for all the odd ball supporting characters Plus I saw him all grown up on some show on E! about his half-sister Soleil Moon Fyre, for some reason I found him creepy.

Miko Hughes - on that VH-1 "Child Star Babylon" show, he described the nasty fight he had with his abusive and manipulative father. Glad to see he's had a longer career than just being the "Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina" kid from "Kindergarten Cop".

That movie really did have some great lines ;-)

While I got tired of how mush that film got played on USA and Anrie's movies went to pot long before he decided to run for gov, I still find myself saying "Eet's not uh TU-mor!" at times. Strange looks then follow, because of people not making the connection.

Clearly one of the most quotable lines in history. Just the other week at work I was telling someone i had a headache and it's probably a tumor. Simotaniously we both shouted over our cubicle walls

"It's not a tooooooomahhh!"

god bless thick accents

I think they were playing it at one point. They used to show lots of different stuff before they decided that anything over 5 years old had to go.

(Insert Michael Jackson joke) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

The two young actors in "Something Wicked This Way Comes" were Vidal Peterson, real name Vidal Palacios,  who played Will and worked mostly in television, including "Star Trek," but he was in one well known B-movie, "Wizards of the Lost Kingdom."  And Shawn Carson, as Jim, who had a shorter career as an actor then Vidal. Apparently, he appered in only one other film, "Funhouse."

There are few child actors in horror films, and those who do appear have such small roles, they seldom make an impression. For example, the young actors who played Zachary and Barry in "Fright Show," apparently are not listed in the credits.

Here are some child actors who did make the credfits.

Sean Bury, who played Lem, Joseph Cotton's son, in "The Abominable Dr. Phibes." His last film was James Bond's "The Spy Who Loved Me," where he had a small part.

Fabiana Formica, who played Valentina, the mayor's daughter and traffic fatality in "Cemetery Man." This was her only film.

Charles Herbert, who played Phllipe, Al (David) Hedison's son in "The Fly." He had an extensive film career, in both television and films during the '50's, but his last credited role was in 1960's "13 Ghosts."

Chris Pitt, who was most notable as Kevin, the goofy boy scout, In "Lair of the White Worm," also had an extensive career in both television and film. This time in the '80's, but his last role was in 1990's "The Krays" w/ Spandau Ballet.

If anybody has a contact address for the last actor, would they let me know, as I would like to contact him. Thanks!
