I heard that WB is making the Green Lantern movie a comedy with Jack Black as Hal Jordan.  Is WB actively working to destroy the comic book genre and the summer movie legacy just because they bought the wrong comic book house?  As if I didn't need more reason to hate the overrated tub of grease Black to begin with.  The only time I ever liked him was when he got blown to pieces by the "gay" Bruce Willis in "The Jackal".

I do believe this turned out to be a rumor.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

It seems that Black was up for the part, but it didn't work out.

Kevin Smith is still writing the film, but will not be directing.  It will definently not be a comedy though.
