hey guys , i new to the site, just registered. Do we got any evil dead fans out there? I think that movie is awsome even though the acting was awful. But it has some pretty godd efeects especially the stop-motion part at  the end. Bruce Campbell is the man by the way. Any comments?

I don't think we're short on Evil Dead fans here.

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

i luv dolma

Army of Darkness is my following! I can't believe they are remaking the first, damn bastards. Wait...lets have faith in Sam Raimi. I'm sure he got an ace up his sleeve. Remember Evil Dead 2 was like a remake of Evil Dead 1, and everyone enjoyed the sequel more. But the new one is rumored to have stiffler in it, and that's not good. We'll just have to see.

Have you played Evil Dead: Fistfull of Boomstick? Its not the best game in the world, but if you get passed the horrible sound track and gamplay, you might enjoy it for the one liners that get better as the game progresses and the storyline that follows Army of Darkness.

Spiffy Niffy

there remaking it!? sweet. I thot they wer just making another one, but  ill see it anyway. Yes i have played that game also. They first few levels where easy but i thot they game started gettin wicked hard after that , so i quit

cheecky-monkey

Hey spiff (wink wink) you spelled "Effects" wrong.
welcome though.

daveblackeye15

Evil Dead II wasn't a remake, they just reshot the opening effects because the orignal studio wouldn't , aw never mind I'm not going to explain again. I thought Fistfull of Boomstick was a really fun game, I had a lot of fun playing and I like how Ash did spills and it was a lot better than the first game.

Dunners

dave...face it. ED2 was a remake.

save the world, kill a politician or two.

Mr_Vindictive

Yeah I'm gonna have to agree with Dunners - Evil Dead 2 was a remake.  Not a very good one but a remake.

How the hell can it be a remake when it's got a "II" in the title? If it's got a number in it signaling that it's meant to continue a story then therefore it has to be a sequal.

Dave,

But it's also a remake.  Yes I agree that it is a sequel but it's also a remake.

This is obvious because Ash comes to the house with his g/f.  He certainly wouldn't have come back after the first one if it was only a sequel.  Especially after he was posessed.

Well, Ash isn't a bright guy so I wouldn't be surprised if he went back to the same cabin that tormented him, but the story is this: Sam Raimi couldn't get the rights to show clips from the first Evil Dead movie, so they had to reshoot the parts that they wanted and they just didn't do anything with Scott or Cherly or the other woman. Okay so the opening is sort of a remake but it's more of a sequal than a remake.
