Dead rail (2005)- A new super-train is inhabited by an alien monster that begins to multiply when it eats the conductor. Sounds cool. Set to air on sci-fi channel.

Slither (2005)- written and directed by James Gunn (Dawn of the dead remake), this film has a town being taken over by an alien disease, mutating the town inhabitance into monsters and zombies. This looks awesome! It's said to be in the vein of Carpenter's the thing, almost all the effects will be animatronic (CG will only be used sparesefully). can't wait!

Skin (200?)- Set in the 1950's, a group of college kids and their professor sneak into a nuclear testing ground to prove the radiation is effecting the enviroment.
What they find living there is more horrifying than anything they could have imagined. Sounds awesome! very original. can't wait to see how it turns out.

The Burrowers (200?)- Said to be like Alien, but set in the west. Should be interesting. Written and directed by JT Petty, who also made Mimic 3.

Yeah, I can't wait for it, but at the same time I'm kinda having my doubts.

I remember when I first was reading about "Hellboy", for example, the makers said most of the effects were old-school make-up, but look how THAT turned out...

My point is, what we as genre fans may think is very little CG and what, say, executives may think is very little CG are entirely different.

Scott

I was reading about some Upcoming Movies that Bruce Campbell will be doing a sequel called BUBBHA NOSFERATU: Curse of the She-Vampires and George Romero will be making LAND OF THE DEAD.

Also that ILSE OF THE DEAD starring Burt Reynolds sounds interesting.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of zombie movies.
28 days later, Dawn of the dead, resident evil 1&2, shawn of the dead...

Enough already!

Cheecky-Monkey

we need more monster movies, less generic zombie flicks!

Flangepart

And some more intresting monster types.
Like the grabboids, i mean.
Zombies...meh. Show me something new....

Cheecky-Monkey

I'm all with you, Flangepart. Less zombie movies, more original creature features, indeed the tremors film series being a great example.
Or how about more smart genre pics, like Cube?
We could use more of those...

Hmmm,
IMDB does not have any of these films outside of Slither. Im really interested in Skin. Also, I would love to see a Bubba Ho Tep sequel, but everybody is dead, how could there possibly be another.

As for the director of Skin, he has directed the lame Ginger Snaps series YIKES!

Well, Evan3, with IMDB people have to add films themself, IMDB doesn't do it automatically, and the moderators tend to be picky about whether or not the film is indeed real (You have to have external reviews, cast and crew, etc.) so it might be some time before some of the films are added.

About the Bubba Ho-tep sequel, from what I heard last year it would be a prequel.
