Well, it's been a while, but I'm back. You thought you got rid of me, didn't you?
So has anyone else seen this crappy Bryan Genesse effort? It's quite possibly the worst excuse for an action flick I've yet to see. Several points drove me nuts, such as:
-An entire platoon of infantry can't down the helicopter, but Ryan can with his pistol?
-Ryan ignores the loaded machine guns, but goes for the nearly empty snub-nosed .22?
-And of course, the classic roof shootout. They're standing on opposite ends of the roof with no cover and *still* can't hit each other? This leads into an even sillier fistfight. Carlos, believing Ryan dead, reloads his submachine gun, puts it down on a counter, turns his back to it, and starts boasting over the radio to Weaver about how awesome he is, or something (his accent is completely indecipherable in this scene). Ryan, quite alive, has a pistol with him, a machine gun within arms reach, and a completely unaware opponent with his back to him. So he tackles him. I know he couldn't justify shooting an unarmed, unaware man (but given how intelligent the script is, no one would care) , but he could hold the gun to his head, and maybe bargain with Weaver for the hostages or something. Whatever.

Well, he shot unarmed Lopez and Wizard in the back. Crystal was unarmed and posed no real physical threat. The helicopter pilot was unarmed and trying to run away.
Of course, I'm not here to argue ethics. This movie was crap. Someone must have said, "Hey, let's have people shooting at each other for an hour and a half, throw in some wrestling moves, and set it all on a train, and we'll have all the magic and commercial appeal of DIE HARD!" Needless to say, they were wrong.
