Warners has announced that Night of the Lepus will be released in its original aspect ratio on 10/4.

What are they thinking? This could traumatize poor unsuspecting Easter bunny believers.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

This could truly have them 'hopping' mad. (:

nobody

I've always wanted to see this movie. It looks like now I'll have the chance.

William Shatner's best work?
What say you, trekgeezer?
I especially love the poor bunny who treads on his own floppy ears and trips and falls over during the tunnel sequence.
Nice tagline Menard!!

I have no idea what this means.

I'm pretty sure Shatner's not in this, but DeForest Kelley is.

Dr. Whom

Indeed we get to see DeForest Kelly battling it out with bunnies! Watch out for the great finale, Watch for the guy in the bunny suit among the horses

And my favourite scene, when the deputy sherrif steps out in front of the audience of a drive in theatre, picks up the megaphone and says something like

Attention! There's a herd of killer rabbits coming this way, and we need your assistance

And they follow him to a man!!!!!!
"Once you get past a certain threshold, everyone's problems are the same: fortifying your island and hiding the heat signature from your fusion reactor."

Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! ... Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput.

Yaddo 42

Stuart Whitman must be so proud to have this on his resume.

Man, the killer rabbit in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" is scary than anything in this flick. The fact that TNT used to show it so damn much is scarier than anything in the flick. But I'm glad it's getting relased on DVD to entertain new generations of people who wonder "What's the worst idea for a "giant monsters run wild" film?"
blah blah stuff blah blah obscure pop culture reference blah blah clever turn of phrase blah blah bad pun blah blah bad link blah blah zzzz.....

Vermin Boy

This makes me immensely happy. Lepus was one of the first b-movies I really laughed at, seeing it on TNT when I was 11. Now I can finally retire that crappy VHS dub!

No, this is, indeed excellent news, Cullen.  Heck, I'm so excited about it, I almost mispessled "excellent" like you did!

(Please ignore this jab at Cullen's spelling, everyone.  He's my older brother, and if I didn't give him crap, he'd wonder what he'd done to p**s me off.)

Oh, crap, I effed up again --
I think I first saw this as a double-feature with that spider movie that Shatner was in, and my mind must've inserted him in both films, on the theory that any movie can only be improved by the addition of more Shatner.
Bad mind!!  Bad mind!!  No sushi for you!!!

Hey Peter, I didn't catch this until you discovered your mistake. But yes,Shatner is good as the sexist veternarian in Kingdom of the Spiders. In fact when making his moves on the female entomoligist he comes across as down right sleazy, especially since the widowed sister-in-law that has the hots for him was actually his real life wife at the time.

I did a little mini review of the Kingdom a couple of months ago.

I eagerly await the return of Denny Crane. (I think they are moving it to a different day next season, but not sure which.)

Okay, never do that again.  I was just messing with you, and you get all vindictive...  "eye spel gud" indeed. ;-)

Yeah, Night of the Lepus is just plain good bad movie fun.  I mean, c'mon, man, how can you resist giant killer bunnies?  It's like a small army of BunBuns on steroids.
