Drudging up a movie title

Im trying to remember a title of a movie that was pretty much like Tremors. It had a sand monster eating people on a beach, then the military comes, blows up the creature, but only makes the creature multiply..

Alos the the box cover was a woman being sucked into the sand from an upward shot. It was made around 1985?
