Wow, the entire Quest for Iscandar? I actually rented the whole series in one go myself, a few years ago. An independent store around here stocks an extensive selection of anime. I remember walking up to the counter with it, about six or eight tapes altogether. The guy just shook his head when he rang it in. His only remark: "That's a lot of Star Blazers." It wasn't so bad - I had the whole thing watched by the next morning. The things you do on a winter weekend when everybody else is busy.

The original is my favourite out of all the Star Blazers series and movies. Saw it when it first came to North America in the late 70s, and again in the mid-80s, and of course, in one all-night marathon viewing with a platter of deli sandwiches and a bottle of rye in the late 90s.

Hey man, you actually rented Dragon Storm? I guess you'll get to see Angel Boris in some nudie bits that they leave out of the SciFi version.

Hopefully there are no nudie bits featuring John Rhys-Davies, Yikes!

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Wow, the entire Quest for Iscandar?

I watched it growing up as a kid but never really saw how it all turned out.  I wanted to catch it again and let my kids watch it.

Well, I saw bts and pieces on Sci-Fi a few weeks back and thought it looked like um...my kinda fun.
