Hey all!
I meant to write this thread a while ago but procrastinated.

I know that most of you don't listen to rap.
A few of you probably do.
For the most part, I'm a metalhead, but I do occasionally listen to some good rap.
Old school rap circa 1987 to 1993 is the best.
Old school Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice-T, NWA and Snoop Dogg are still favorites of mine.
It brings back nostalgic memories of my late teens and early 20's.

My buddy Clark, AKA Preacha C, recently released his first rap album.
It's titled "The Last Sermon" and it's f**kin' phenomenal for a first effort!
I would pretty much label it as Underground Rap and give it a thumbs up.
I give it a 7 out of 10.
I've bought and listened to his album and then compared it to big name rap artists and it's damn good!

Preach & I met over a year ago at my job when I first started.
Since then, he's become a friend of mine and fellow weed smoker.
He also lived in the same apartment building as me for a while until he moved out a few months ago.
And he always hooked me up with the best chronic.
:)

He recently quit the job where he & I worked and has planned to move to Minneapolis to pursue making albums full time.
I can't tell you how f**kin' cool this guy and his music are!

If you like rap at all, you gotta check out his stuff.
You can listen to several of his songs on the OTT (Out The Trunk) Records website which is based here in my hometown, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Yetti, who did the intro, is also a friend, co-worker and fellow weed toker.

You can listen to more samples of his s**t here:

His album is available via Paypal if you're interested.

I don't really expect to get a lot of responses to this thread.
Maybe you could give us your impressions of rap music in general.
Any thoughts would be great!
What do you think?

I'm not real crazy about rap, or hip hop, but I checked it out anyway. Some of the stuff was ok, but I think I will stick to my metal, and old school punk. My best wishes to your friend though, the music industry is a b***h to get into for the big bucks.
