Anyone know if this obvious Kung Fu film parody will be any good? Looks promising, but you know how that can go.....

It looks totally stupid. I'm a fan of spoofs but this looks just plain dumb. Spaceballs , now that is how spoofs are supposed to be done.

Like with trailers, they show the funny parts but when you see the ENTIRE picture you get a mixed result (or just a crappy movie in general). This has happened with comedies like DUDE, WHERE'S MY CAR? to SCARY MOVIE to FREDDY GOT FINGERED. The funny bits are shown, but the entire picture just plain stinks.

I don't know about KUNG POW. I laughed at the trailers, but I did the same with the trailer for FREDDY GOT FINGERED so that might not be a good sign. I think I will wait for it to come out on video.

I remember seeing an interview with Steve Odekirk about 5 years ago in which he talked about the original concept, which was that he would be inserted into scenes from real chop sockey flicks and make fun of the other guys. Now that this has come to fruition, it doesn\\\'t look good at all. It has yet another lame Matrix bullet-time parody and one of the most detestable creations ever to be unleashed on film: a CGI baby. This will be crap.

No it will be funny, but the Matrix parody is lame.  It's been in Scary Movie, Simpsons and every other thing already.
